Hemp Seed Protein

A natural, rich source of Plant Protein, Dietary Fibre and Essential Minerals

What is Hemp Seed Protein

Bio Oils’ Hemp Seed Protein is produced from certified organic hemp seed after the oil has been extracted by cold-pressing (also known as de-fatted seed). It is then milled into a highly nutritious powder. Our hemp seeds are grown in the rich, fertile soils of the Central South Island of New Zealand, in the shadows of the beautiful Southern Alps. Our Hemp Seed Protein has many benefits of the whole seed, but with a slightly different nutritional profile. With much of the oil extracted from the seeds, Hemp Seed Protein has less fat and a higher concentration of other nutrients than an equal volume of seed. Hemp Seed Protein is a complete protein source and contains 20 amino acids including all nine essential amino acids required by the human body along with dietary fibre, magnesium, calcium, iron and zinc.
