Flax Seed Fibre is the product that remains after the extraction of the oil from the Linseed seed (Linum usitatissimum). With the appearance of flakes of bran, the product is milled to the coarseness required by our customers…from large flakes to a finely milled powder.

Flax Seed Fibre is high quality, natural and unrefined, and is packed with valuable nutrients:

• High in dietary fibre - both soluble fibre to help lower cholestrol and insoluble fibre for digestion (see nutritional information)
• High quality protein (see nutritional information)
• Lignans – a phytoestrogen for hormonal and immune system balance, and considered to have antioxidant and cancer preventing properties (see nutritional information)
• Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9 fatty acids
• Gluten free so suitable for those with Coeliac disease
• Low glycaemic index (GI)
